One Eyed Pete Is Now Ordering Toys in Pet Heaven for Newcomers

When Mom and I read this article in The Pet Heaven Herald News, we remembered the story of One-Eyed Pete.  Pete was a boy kitty who was 23 years old when he arrived in Pet Heaven.  He was adopted by a wonderful couple who found him at the fair and he was a kitten at the time.  Apparently he had gotten into a fight and his eye was pretty bad and his body was in pretty bad shape too.  This wonderful couple picked him up and took him to the doctor.  They were unable to save his eye, but they pulled him thru some tough times and he lived.  Obviously, he went home with his new Mom and Dad.  They named him One-Eyed Pete.

He was the most  wonderful cat ever.  As mentioned, he lived for 23 years and the same Veterinarian who saved his life was able to be with him in his last moments here on earth.  What a great story of  love and committment.

Now that Pete has both eyes with perfect vision and is dressed in his heavenly fur coat, he orders toys for all the new comers to Pet Heaven.  It is Pete’s job to find out what their favorite toys were on earth and match them exactly.  He has them ready for them and puts them in their bedrooms and they are available as soon as they arrive.  These toys are so comforting and the earth Mom’s and Dad’s are so glad they have these toys too.  Pete is doing a wonderful service.

Mom and I love these stories from Pet Heaven….hope you do to.  Chat soon, The Babe!!

New articles from the Pet Heaven Herald News

Well here we are….October 1st and I am getting ready for Halloween!!  This is my vorite time of year.  I am feeling so much better and I thank everyone for their prayers during my illness .  I have special food with stuff sprinkled on it and I am lookin’ good.  Mom and I are back to reading the Pet Heaven Herald News and we saw a new “Editors Choice” column.  It’s all about the new pet arrivals in Pet Heaven.

We read where Fonzie was promoted to “Head Greeter”.  He is so right for this job.  He is so friendly and welcomes everyone.  He has the neatest ears.  They had to make a special crown for him so his pretty ears could be seen.  Even Dr. Luke, the Pet Heaven Veterinarian said his ears are perfect.  Anyway, Fonzie will be greeting everyone and he will have other greeters to help him if he has to do take a day off.

The humans have to see St. Peter first and make sure their name is on the list.  However, Pets do not have to do that as their souls are perfect from day one.  They go straight to Fonzie and he will greet them and make sure their every need is taken care of.  Fonzie said those Pearly Gates are prettier than he had ever imagined….and yes, the streets are pure gold.  He said they were a little slippery at first, but now he runs around all the time and has perfect traction.  Fonzie has specail paws too.  His Mom and Day thinks they are cute.

We will get updates daily and maybe some pictures of the new pet arrivals.

Noah’s Ark Tour is Over

The Noah’s Ark Tour is over until next year.  We understand that everyone had a good time.  I’m really sorry I wasn’t able to keep up on the news from the Pet Heaven Herald News as I was a little under the weather this past week.  We have had a lot of mail about my recent diagnosis of pancreatitis.  It is amazing what some enzymes and a moist diet of EN from Purina will do for this.  I feel so much better.

I heard there were some exiting comments  made from some of the pets in Pet Heaven. Here are some of things they learned…..

(1) Plan Ahead, It wasn’t raining when Noah built the Ark. (2) Stay fit.  When you are 600 years old (like Noah), someone might ask you to do something REALLY big. (3) Don’t listen to critics—do what has to be done.  (4) Build on high ground (5)For safety’s sake, travel in pairs. (6) Two heads are better than one. (7) If you can’t fight or flee—-float! (8) Take care of your animals as if they were the last ones on earth. (9) Don’t forget that we’re all in the same boat. (10) When the doo-doo gets really deep, don’t sit there and complain–shovel!! (11) Stay below the deck during the storm. (12) Remember the ark was built by amateurs and the Titanic was built by professionals. (13)If you have to start over, have a friend by your side. (14) Don’t miss the boat. (15) No matter how bleak it looks, there’s always a rainbow on the other side. (16) Stop what you are doing and do what God says!

More to come later….The Babe!!   ……….back in action!!!!

Do You Know What This Is?

Do you know what this is?  It is the plastic wrapper that is put around soda and drink containers to hold them together.  We bring the package home, take a bottle out and then pitch the wrapper.  Do you know that animals are getting tangled in these things and they can’t get them off?

Mom cuts them up so there are no “open holes” left.  This way, they are just scraps of plastic and then she disposes of the strips.

Please don’t just put these in the trash without cutting them up.  When you do this, you are helping our little furry friends.  Thanks everyone!!!  The Babe

Reminded of Song today…Through It All by Andrae Crouch

Song, “Through It All” Click here to play.

Today, Babe’s Mom is doing the talking…I’m Phyllis.  If you have seen some of the Blogs recently you would have seen that Babe was diagnosed with Pancreatitis.  Every Day she has been going in for IV and then comes home at night.  She has not eaten or drank water since last Friday….all IV.  Dr. Legorreta called this a.m. and said the results of the test are not where he wanted them to be but she needed to eat and he was going to feed her and see if she can keep it down.

When I hung up the  phone, it started hitting me…what if???  Don’t know if you have ever heard the song,Through it all by Andrae Crouch, but I was remined of those words.  You can click on link above to hear the song.

I thank God for the mountains, And I thank Him for the valleys, I thank Him for the storms He brought me through, For if I’d never had a problem, I wouldn’t know that He could solve them, I’d never know what Faith in God could do.  Through it all, through it all, Oh I’ve learned to trust in Jesus, I’ve learned to trust in God.  Through it all, through it all, I’ve learned to depend up on his Word.

Needless to say, after the call, I was more than concerned about my little girl.  To say that I had a “melt down” is putting it lightly. Then a little later, the doctors office called me and said she is eating and she is doing find…come pick her up.  I brought her  home and she has eaten again with more water.  So far, so good.  She is resting now and as I look  at her little face with total trust in us to take care of her, my heart is melted once again.

At some point and time, we will all pass on to be with our God, but nonetheless, it always hurts. The future is to control this Pancreatitis with diet and we will do that and pray to God for more time…..”Through it all…..Babe and I will trust in Him”.  Thank you for all your prayers!
